I want to start this thread off with my experience in CBT.  And here goes:

I had to remember.  I hate remembering.  I had to go back to what scared me the most and relive that moment.  That was not pleasant.  I hated going back to the sessions because I had to record my rememberance and play it back to myself later and listen to what I was going through - all over again.  I could  not handle it.  I quit.  My CBT lasted no longer than 2 sessions and I quit going.  Sad to say, but this is one obstacle I am yet to climb.
